Our Vulcan Sub-basin core workshop is filling up fast but it’s not to late to book your spot. The deadline for signing up is the 15th of August so contact us and join us on a fascinating journey through 30 cores spanning the Late Cretaceous Puffin Formation to the Triassic plays of the Pollard Formation.

MGPalaeo Vulcan Sub-basin core workshop

To add to this, our Vulcan Sub-basin Comprehensive Core Data Set is also now complete, just in time for the workshop. This mammoth study covers 1.6 kilometres of core from 63 wells spanning an area from Crux 1 in the South-West to Ludmilla 1 in the North-East.

All cored wells within the Vulcan Sub-basin have been reviewed, with more than 200 pages of core descriptions and palaeogeographic maps, and close to 2000 RCA measurements plotted against grain size, lithology, lithofacies and depofacies.

Out of these 63 wells, 25 wells have also been described as follows:
◦ Approx. 270m of cores at 1:70 scale (12 wells)
◦ Approx. 500m of cores at 1:200 scale (13 wells)

This comprehensive core data set is an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into the complexity of the Vulcan Sub-basin and what can be achieved when integrating revised existing palynology and sedimentology at high levels.

Please contact us for more information on the Vulcan Sub-basin core workshop or the ground-breaking multi-client core study, but remember, the deadline for the workshop is the 15th of August!
