MGPalaeo benefits from having one of the largest data sets of Australian palynological studies currently available, generated from more than 35 years of work. From single wells to the entire Northwest Shelf, we can provide all the digital data you need.
All palynological data available here has been reviewed and updated to our latest zonation scheme (MGP 2014), with data extracted into tabulated spreadsheets for easy input into your own database.
Four types of data packages are currently available:
Northwest Shelf Stratigraphic Database – A ground-breaking database that will provide the latest interpretation of all available open-file stratigraphical data from all exploration wells across the northwest shelf of Australia.
StratPacks: Stratigraphic Data Packages – Designed to give an easy overview of existing biostratigraphic data available in any given area. Each StratPack includes Palynological Summary Sheets, Stratigraphic Summary Charts and Well Correlation Panels.
Palynological Summary Sheets – A listing of the palynological zones and inferred palaeoenvironments for all available samples in a well.
Composite Log Displays – Designed to provide an understanding of well results 3 years in advance of the interpreted data release, our Composite Log Displays integrate basic biostratigraphic results with wireline log, mudlog, LWD (logging while drilling), core, geological, geophysical, engineering, and other aspects of well operations.
